Planning System is under threat.

It's hard to believe but it might be about to get worse!

14th June 2007 - The planning system is under threat from reforms published in the Planning White Paper in May 2007. Many say it will reduce communities’ chances to have their say and give big business greater influence. In particular, the proposed new planning laws will remove the ‘needs test’ that requires supermarkets to justify a new out-of-town store by demonstrating a requirement for additional retail floorspace. It’s good that our local MP Charles Walker is on the case.
