Keep Cuffley Rural was launched on May 18th 2007

This campaigning group was established ‘by public demand’ at the meeting on May 18 attended by over 300 people at the Cuffley Hall.

Keep Cuffley Rural - Our village has a mixture of shops and services that have served our local community well for many years and we do not want the tranquillity of our village to change just to meet the sales growth target of any new multiple retailer.  We hope you understand and like the name.

We always need your views

The first big task was to organise a POSTAL REFERENDUM on the Tesco development and it produced the following result.

83% of the village said NO to Tesco

Our Mission

We are a SINGLE-ISSUE PRESSURE GROUP. We are totally NON-POLITICAL. We have one aim – we are opposed to the specific development of converting what was the Harvester into a Tesco Express store. We at Keep Cuffley Rural say No to Tesco or simply No Tesco.
